Agency work
Hutt City Council approached PORT Group to develop a quarterly magazine distributed to all residents of Lower Hutt. The vision was to create a communication channel that people across the city could connect with on a personal level, using clear and accessible visual and written language.
Central to the concept was the Hutt River, the lifeblood of the city and a unifying thread through its communities. This was referenced in the logo, anchoring the publication in a shared sense of place. Recognising the Hutt’s diverse population, we developed a strong and approachable masthead, along with a distinctive illustrative style, colour palette, photographic approach, and written voice. Together, these elements created an inclusive publication that engaged and resonated with every part of the community.
